Description
UninstFl.exe is used to uninstall older (pre version 9) versions of Macromedia (now Adobe) Flash.The default behavior of UninstFl.exe is to prompt the user, unlock the control, unregister the control, and then delete the OCX, GetFlash.exe, and GetFlash.exe.manifest files.
Uninstfl.exe is a 32-bit executable for a command line application that has no GUI.
The Macromed directory is used for the Flash Player, a popular multi-media extension to Internet browsers. It was made by Macromedia, now owned by Adobe Systems.
There are no known security risks in using Uninstfl.exe assuming it has not been modified or replaced by virus or malware and it resides in the default directory. This file is installed by Microsoft as part of Windows Update.
