Microsoft Office Excel cannot find the data you're searching for.
If you search a workbook for data you know exists, but the data is not found by the Find dialog, it is possible the data is in a filtered list. The configuration of the filtered list's search criteria is possibly preventing the data from being displayed. Filtered lists do not automatically revert to a Show All state when you attempt a search and therefore do not display the information when it is found, since the filtered list is expected to show only what it is set to display. To allow for a search of all data within a workbook, you must set the filter criteria for each filtered list to Show All prior to performing a search.
To show all data in filtered lists for an entire worksheet: click the upper left block where the numbered and lettered columns intersect to highlight the entire sheet, click Data on the menu, select Filter, and then click Show All.
