When the program's installer is damaged or corrupted, a new copy is required (either via download, media (CD/DVD), or network (if on a home or company server).
In some cases the installer may have performed a partial installation, yet can't undo what it has already installed. If a known good installation copy fails (differently than this failure), you may need to delete files it placed it's related Program Files directory. Be careful you only delete files related to this installation!
