The driver cannot be installed unless the related hardware adapter is already installed. Either the hardware is not installed or the driver is for the wrong hardware.
Confirm you are using the correct driver for the installed hardware. Perhaps the model or adapter name is slightly different than you thought, and there is a different driver needed.
Install the adapter before adding the related driver. In many cases the driver will automatically install after the hardware is detected by Windows.
