Format the media. This action will permanently erase any existing data on the media, so only do this if you are sure there is no existing data that you want to keep.
Open Explorer (Windows Key + E).
Select the drive to format and right-click, and select Format.
Confirm you are formatting the correct drive, as you don't want to incorrectly select the wrong drive and erase critical information.
Pick any options and/or set the volume label.
When the options are set as desired, click OK.
At the warning confirmation dialog, click OK.
