An error was encountered trying to eject ''.
Description
Typically the file system structure is corrupted on the removable media which causes attempts to write data to fail. Since it can't complete the write operation, it can't finish the ejection process.
Sample Dialog
Dialog may appear differently depending on XP style options and where it occurs.
Format the media. This action will permanently erase any existing data on the media, so only do this if you are sure there is no existing data that you want to keep.
Open Explorer (Windows Key + E).
Select the drive to format and right-click, and select Format.
Confirm you are formatting the correct drive, as you don't want to incorrectly select the wrong drive and erase critical information.
Pick any options and/or set the volume label.
When the options are set as desired, click OK.
At the warning confirmation dialog, click OK.
