Power off the printer. Confirm the printer cables are properly connected.
Shutdown the computer. Turn the printer back on, and start up Windows again.
Windows or the related printer software may have become unstable and these steps may clear the issue.

Get the Latest Printer Driver
Check if you are using the latest printer driver. Consider uninstall and reinstall of the printer driver as it may have become corrupted.
You can use a product like Driver Genius or Radar Sync to verify you have the latest drivers and help keep all your drivers up-to-date. If you're comfortable with driver installations, you can individually find and install current drivers.
