Description
Head cleaning is an option on Ink-Jet printers to clear the nozzles that apply ink to the paper. It uses up ink, so it should only be run when you have poor print quality.

Click the Start button to clean the print head nozzles. Only clean the print head when faint areas or gaps appear in your printout, because cleaning consumes ink. Use the Nozzle Check utility first to confirm that the print head needs to be cleaned. When the error light is on or flashing, the ink cartridge must be replaced before the pirnt head can be cleaned.
