   The Backup Utility cannot connect to the Removable Storage service. This service is required for use of tape drives and other backup devices.

Please exit and start the Removable Storage service using the System Services function of the Management Console.

To start the missing service:

  1. Open the Run dialog (Windows key + R) and type Services.msc
  2. In the right pane, scroll down to the line Removable Storageand double-click the item.
  3. Set the Startup Type to Automatic.

  4. If the Service Status is Stopped, click on the Start button.

  5. Click OK and Close the Services Dialog.
