If the CrashOnAuditFail flag is set, it may indicate hackers have attempted to breach the server. One hacker approach is to generate a lot of audit messages in an attempt to fill the log, and once full, perform actions that can no logger be logged. The Server sets this flag and stops the server in an attempt to prevent this type of security breach. A denial-of-service attack can also fill the log and cause the CrashOnAuditFail to be set.
