In general, this error happens due to lack of permission for IDM to write to the target drive. for example if someone is using a NTFS network drive on parallels as a target storage. this drive if is mounted on mac and it so happens that you either do not have NTFS for mac software installed on the mac or the installed software regarding mac to write and read NTFS has expired. Hence, the file when downloaded can not be written to the target drive.
You need to installed a working version of NTFS for mac. Once done, IDM will continue to save all downloaded files in the selected drive.
In case you need to retrieve the previously save file in IDM temp folder, just follow the address given in the error panel and then locate the folder bearing the downloaded file name. inside that folder, you will see both the temporary IDM system file and the downloaded file of interest. Move the file to some place like the desktop or an external drive for easy access.
