Internet Explorer crashed, likely from a buggy third-party add-on, although low-memory conditions may also cause this.

The operating system or application may have run out of usable memory.

Adding additional memory may solve this problem. This is especially true if your system is configured for a minimal amount of memory for Windows.

Disable Add-Ons

One or more third-party add-ons may be buggy and causing the problem. To check if this is the case, you can temporally disable all Add-ons to check if this is true or not:

Click the Start button, click All Programs, click Accessories, click System Tools, and then click Internet Explorer (No Add-ons).

If the problem stops occurring, then likely an add-on is the cause of the fault.

To isolate which add-on is causing the problem, you can manually add back in each add-on and hopefully the problem will re-appear when the bad add-on is activated, or if you suspect one add-on, you can enable all but that one add-on to confirm it is the source of the problem.

To manage add-ons, within IE select Tools, then Manage Add-ons.
