Description
Someone likely screwed up! For example, if the web site uses PHP (a common server side language), but the server was not configured to support it, you might get a 501 error. It may be the server was recently replaced or upgraded incorrectly.

You might notify the webmaster about the issue. Include the error number and the address (URL) where the error occurred along with any other relevant details.
Many sites use an email address in the form webmaster@sitename.com where you replace sitename.com with the web sites address (don't include a www). Keep in mind with the amount of spam, they may use a different address and/or it might get ignored. Check the websites' contact information to get reliable contact information.

The server does not support the functionality required to fulfill the request. This is the appropriate response when the server does not recognize the request method and is not capable of supporting it for any resource.
"501 Not Implemented" is supported by most Web Servers.
